National museum of Korea





The National Museum of Korea is located only 1.5km away from Yongsan Station. It is the largest museum in Korea and houses precious Korean cultural assets that silently tell the story of Korea’s fascinating history, from ancient days to the modern era. The museum, in turn, is close to Yongsan Family Park, a wooded grassland with a pond that serves as a natural habitat for various species of birds, as well as over 80 different kinds of trees. The War Memorial of Korea is located approximately 1km from Yongsan Station toward Samgakji. It displays a daunting array of collections and wartime relics.

National folk museum






Located inside Gyeongbokgung Palace, the National Folk Museum of Korea presents over 4,000 historical artifacts that were used in the daily lives of ordinary Korean people. Here you can fully immerse yourselves in previous domestic and agricultural lifestyles, and learn about Korea’s cultural beliefs.

The National Folk Museum of Korea has three permanent and two special exhibitions as well as a library, souvenir shop, and other subsidiary facilities.

Gwanghwamun Square






On August 1st, 2009, the redesigned Gwanghwamun Square opened to the public. With the inauguration of the square, Sejong-ro, located at the center of the 600-year-old historic city of Seoul, was transformed into a human-centered space that harmonizes with the beautiful scenery of Gyeongbokgung Palace and Bukaksan Mountain.

Meonggajae (明家齋) guesthouse that commands a view of whole Bukchon

Meonggajae means the place that cleanliness and neatness is made in Hanok in bright atmosphere, and traditional tile, wall, terrace where soy sauce crocks are place, courtyard surrounded with stone wall and so on looks like a perfect picture shaped in harmony with fresh sky seen between roofing tiles.
